Vatican Synod LGBT+ Deliberations
At the Vatican, after nearly thirty days of deliberations involving bishops and laity on the future of the Church, the LGBT+ question disappeared from the final synod summaries, despite its initial presence. James Martin, an American Jesuit and participant, points to the reluctance of certain segments of the Church to address the subject, while emphasizing the importance of discussion and testimony in changing perceptions.
