List of LGBT orientations
Sexual orientation is the romantic and/or sexual attraction that a person has towards another person.Gender identities, on the other hand, are how a person perceives and presents themselves in society.When we talk about the LGBT community, it includes lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people. However, there are other sexual orientations and gender identities that are part of this community.
homosexuality
Homosexuality is the sexual orientation where a person is romantically and/or sexually attracted to people of the same sex. For years homosexuals have been persecuted and discriminated against in many cultures around the world. However, there have been significant advances in the recognition and acceptance of homosexuality.However, many gay men still face challenges, including workplace discrimination and mental health issues.
Bisexuality
Bisexuality is the sexual orientation where a person is romantically and/or sexually attracted to people of both sexes.There are often myths about bisexuals, such as being “confused” or “can’t make up their minds.”However, these myths are false. Bisexuals may have preferences for one sex or the other, or be attracted to
Pansexuality
The pansexual movement aims to raise awareness of an often misunderstood sexual orientation: pansexuality. In this orientation, a person is romantically and/or sexually attracted to people of all gender identities, including non-binary people.Unlike bisexuality, pansexuality is not limited to the two binary sexes.
asexuality
Asexuality is the sexual orientation where a person experiences no or very little sexual attraction towards other people. Asexual people may have romantic and/or platonic relationships, but do not feel sexual attraction to others. There are often myths about asexuality, such as that asexual people are sick or have suffered trauma, but this is not true.
Queersexuality
Queersexuality is a sexual orientation or gender identity that does not conform to heteronormative social and cultural norms.It can include people who are bisexual, pansexual, asexual, non-binary or of other gender identities.The queer movement is a response to the exclusion of people who do not conform to gender and sexuality norms from the mainstream LGBT community.
transidentity
Transidentity is gender identity where a person does not identify with the gender assigned to them at birth. Transgender people can have sex reassignment operations, take hormones, and change their name and physical appearance to match their gender identity. Transgender people often face discrimination and violence, and it is important to raise awareness of their experience.
Non-binarity
Non-binary is gender identity where a (non-binary) person does not consider themselves to be exclusively male or female. Non-binary people may consider themselves to be in between genders, neutral, or have a completely different gender identity.
People need to be made aware of the experience of transgender people, as they often face discrimination and violence.
It is important to recognize and raise awareness of the sexual and gender diversity that exists in our society.
It is important to accept and include people belonging to the LGBT community, as they are an integral part of our society.
Sexual orientations and gender identities should not be matters of shame or discrimination. We must all work together to create a society that is more inclusive and respectful of diversity.
